Great looking blog carnival. I've been sick so just got a chance to check it out and am looking forward to reading through the posts over the next few days. :) Thanks for including Sandwichink!

Cara- I totally agree with you BUT since so many sites require it, I made a Blogspot blog for SandwichINK with just 1 or 2 posts, plus links to my main site. It only took a few minutes, points people to SandwichINK and makes an easy option for those sites that require it. :)

Have a Happy St Patricks Day :)

I agree - some of the most common questions turn out to not be very important after all.

Ok, i HATE it when I cant leave a comment because they only allow google ids or other similar limits. I dont want a google id.

I will post here, an answer to Percivil's questions question, in hopes someone gets it to him.

What always cracks me up is "I want to start homeschooling my x-grader. What is the best curriculum to use?".

I think one of the hardest things is that most of the questions new homeschoolers have are not the 'right' questions, from the perspective of experienced home schoolers. People ask 'how do you make your kids do the school work if you cant get them to do their home work now?". I have seen the question 'ok, really, what are the worst parts of home schooling' - but i've had other homeschoolers get upset if I answer honestly. A big question that comes up is, how do you deal with freinds and relatives who are not supportive. But its also important to get to the questions behind the questions - explaining how school scope and sequence isnt the only way to teach, how your kids can REALLY learn at their own pace instead of matching the school's pace, that there are no educational emergencies. That your child knows what curriculum is best for him/her better than any home school expert does.

(and thanks for the carnival!)
