Oh, I’m so very glad that I’m not the only homeschooling mom who has had the vision of homeschooling that was dancing around in my head before we started not really come to pass.

Did that sentence even makes sense? At any rate, I love your idea and your rules for marking the items off the list. That’s great reinforcement for the kids. Although we don’t use your method regularly, I did do something similar last week when I had to leave for an appointment before school was done for the day, and it worked great.

I’m also glad to know that I’m not alone in realizing that there must be a punishment for marking something off that really wasn’t done. {ahem}

Thanks for the idea Karyn – very nice blog you have going there with lots of ideas!

I added you to my Homeschool Links page, and added my blog to your blogroll (though if you could change the title from “Misty” to “HomeschoolBytes”, I’d appreciate it, since I couldn’t edit it – oops).

And indoor hopscotch is definitely on our list, now. Our latest today is burrowing and building in the huge pile of boxes piled in the entry way from a whirlwind clean-up of the basement. Boxes are always such a favorite with the kids.

Just found your blog from the top 100 list. We are feeling the winter blues, too. An idea we have done is indoor hopscotch- tape it on the ground with masking tape…
Also, I have a homeschool blog roll that I just started & thought I would share. I’d love to have you link up your blog!

Hahaha! I think it’s just a girl thing. My older daughter never liked haiku either, preferring to do her own thing, but her brother could knock off a haiku really fast!

i thought this was a little to much for a math game. my sister and i loved the free game and would love to play the lava game, but the price was so high. i hope one day the price will become lower.thanks

I taught my 2 girls to read using Little Patriots in Action. I understand that the lady who developed the program has changed the name. I would love to get this program for my granddaughter. Can anyone help?
